Buoyed by a very strong freshmen team the already powerful Friars relied on the keen running of freshmen Veronica Leddy, who was promoted to the varsity as she ran 14:45 in this dual meet that upped her team’s record to 2-0.
Senior Erin Brady ran a 19:24 on a day that saw a trio of ninth graders Olicia Williams Sloan Russ and Victoria Ciotti run under 9:30 at the freshman level, according to coach Delia Hopkins, who noted that her team “raced pretty good.”
